Itinerary

"Day 1: Guwahati Arrival & Transfer to Cherrapunjee

Flight Timing: Ensure your flight arrives before 10 am.
Travel Distance: ~150 km
Travel Time: 4-5 hours
Route: Guwahati → Cherrapunjee
Sightseeing:
Elephant Falls: A beautiful three-tiered waterfall near Shillong, offering a refreshing stop before heading to Cherrapunjee.
Dainthlen Falls: A scenic waterfall with local mythological significance, located on the way to Cherrapunjee.
Overnight Stay: Cherrapunjee


Day 2: Double Decker Root Bridge Trek & Nohkalikai Falls
Activities:
Double Decker Root Bridge Trek: A full-day adventure trekking to the famous living root bridges. This trek will take you through dense forests, streams, and natural pools, offering an unforgettable experience of Meghalaya’s unique natural wonders.
Nohkalikai Falls: After the trek, visit one of the tallest waterfalls in India, dropping over 1,100 feet into the misty valley below. Enjoy the breathtaking views from the top.
Overnight Stay: Cherrapunjee


Day 3: Cherrapunjee to Dawki (Camping Night)
Travel Distance: ~80 km
Travel Time: 2.5-3 hours
Route: Cherrapunjee → Dawki
Sightseeing:
Seven Sister Falls: Another majestic waterfall, offering panoramic views of the cascading water.
Mawsmai Caves: Limestone caves with incredible formations, offering a quick exploration.
Mawkdok Dympep Valley Viewpoint: A stop with spectacular views of the surrounding valleys.
Mawlynnong Village: Known as Asia’s cleanest village, a serene place to explore local culture.
Umngot River: Famous for its crystal-clear waters, you can enjoy a boat ride, making it appear like the boats are floating on air.
Shnongpdeng Suspension Bridge: A picturesque bridge offering views of the Umngot River.
Camping Night: Spend the night camping by the river in Dawki, experiencing nature up close.

Day 4: Dawki to Shillong
Travel Distance: ~85 km
Travel Time: 2.5-3 hours
Route: Dawki → Shillong
Sightseeing:
Krang Suri Waterfalls: A stunning waterfall with turquoise blue water, perfect for a swim or just relaxing in nature.
Laitlum Grand Canyon: A dramatic viewpoint offering panoramic views of lush valleys, often covered in mist.
Police Bazar: The main market area of Shillong, where you can shop for local handicrafts, souvenirs, and taste local cuisine.

Day 5: Shillong to Kaziranga
Travel Distance: ~250 km
Travel Time: 5-6 hours
Route: Shillong → Kaziranga
Sightseeing:
Umiam Lake: A quick stop by the lake on your way to Kaziranga, with opportunities for a brief walk or photo session.
Overnight Stay: Kaziranga
Day 6: Kaziranga to Guwahati
Flight Timing: Ensure your departure flight is after 8 pm to allow time for the safari and transfer to the airport.
Travel Distance: ~200 km
Travel Time: 4-5 hours
Route: Kaziranga → Guwahati
Activities:
Jeep Safari: Early morning safari in the Western Range of Kaziranga National Park, famous for its population of one-horned rhinoceros, elephants, and other wildlife.
After the safari, drive to Guwahati for your flight.
Airport Drop: Guwahati Airport for your onward journey."
