Imagine cruising through the serene waters of Dal Lake on a Shikara, staying in a charming houseboat, and exploring the off-beat Aharbal waterfalls, also known as the Niagara Falls of Kashmir, where you can reflect on the year gone by and embrace the new beginnings with the roaring cascade as your backdrop.

As we venture through South Kashmir, the saffron fields of Pampore and the meadows of Aru and Betaab Valley in Pahalgam offer a tranquil escape. Gulmarg, with its perpetual winter charm, is a haven for adventure seekers. The gondola ride to Apharwat Peak will offer breathtaking views, making it the perfect place to feel the spirit of Christmas and the excitement of the New Year.

  • 10 meals included: Dinner on Day 1, Breakfast and Dinner on Days 2-5, Breakfast on Day 6.

  • Internal transfers to Aru Valley and Betaab Valley.

Itinerary

Day 1: Christmas Arrival in Srinagar | Local Sightseeing

  • Arrive in Srinagar: Begin your festive journey with a scenic flight over the snow-covered mountains, arriving at Srinagar airport.

  • Check-in: Head straight to your houseboat and settle in.

  • Explore Srinagar: After a short rest, meet our representative and embark on a tour of the beautiful Mughal Gardens—Shalimar and Nishat Gardens.

  • Shikara Ride: Enjoy a mesmerizing one-hour Shikara ride on Nigeen Lake, soaking in the majestic surroundings.

  • Festive Dinner: Return to your houseboat for a special Christmas Eve dinner, surrounded by the serene beauty of the lake.

  • Overnight Stay: Experience the unique charm of a night on the houseboat.

 

 

Day 2: Gulmarg's Winter Wonderland & Gondola Ride

  • Morning in Srinagar: Wake up to the tranquil surroundings of Dal Lake and enjoy a festive breakfast.

  • Drive to Gulmarg: Embark on a two-hour scenic drive to Gulmarg, with its picturesque landscapes straight out of a Christmas postcard.

  • Gondola Ride: Upon arrival, take the highest gondola ride in Asia, offering panoramic views of the Kashmir Valley.

  • Leisure Time: After checking into your hotel, visit one of Asia's highest golf courses and a local church to soak in the festive spirit.

  • Winter Adventures: Indulge in winter sports like skiing and snowboarding, making the most of the snowy wonderland.

  • Overnight Stay: Rest up for another day of adventure in Gulmarg.

 

 

Day 3: Pahalgam & the Frozen Drung Waterfall

  • Morning in Gulmarg: Start your day with a hearty breakfast.

  • Visit Drung Waterfall: On the way to Pahalgam, stop by the famous Drung Waterfall. If it's frozen, it’s a sight you won’t want to miss!

  • Scenic Drive: Continue your journey with a four-hour drive via Pampore and Avantipura, passing through Anantnag.

  • Evening in Pahalgam: Arrive in Pahalgam, check into your hotel, and enjoy a peaceful evening.

  • Overnight Stay: Unwind and prepare for the next day's exploration.

 

 

Day 4: Explore Pahalgam & Return to Srinagar

  • Aru Valley & Betaab Valley: Start the day by visiting Aru Valley, famous for its lush meadows, pristine lakes, and snow-clad mountains, followed by a trip to Betaab Valley, a favorite spot for Bollywood filmmakers.

  • Chandanwari: If weather permits, visit the rocky valley of Chandanwari for a pony ride (at your own expense).

  • Return to Srinagar: Drive back to Srinagar in the evening, check into your hotel, and enjoy a cozy dinner.

  • Overnight Stay: Rest well in anticipation of the final day of adventure.

 

 

Day 5: Trekking in Yusmarg or Dhoodhpathri

  • Trek to Yusmarg: After breakfast, head out for a two-hour drive to Nilnag Lake, famous for its blue waters and pine tree forests. Begin a 5 km trek to Yusmarg, the Meadow of Jesus, taking in the breathtaking scenery.

  • Alternative Plan: If heavy snowfall blocks the trek, we’ll take you for an exciting trek in Dhoodhpathri instead.

  • Return to Srinagar: After a day full of adventure, return to Srinagar for your last night.

  • Overnight Stay: Spend the final night in Srinagar, reminiscing about the unforgettable memories made.

 

 

Day 6: Departure | Bid Adieu to Kashmir

  • Farewell Breakfast: Enjoy your final breakfast in Srinagar before preparing for departure.

  • Departure: Board your return transfers with a heart full of memories from this snowy Christmas and New Year adventure.
