1st Day - Saturday 7th December, 2024

Evening: Arrive at Guwahati Airport, where you’ll be met by your driver/guide. Transfer to your
hotel in Guwahati and check in.
Leisure Time: If you have time, take a stroll along the banks of the Brahmaputra River or
explore the local markets at Fancy Bazaar for some Assamese handicrafts.
Dinner: Enjoy dinner at a local Assamese restaurant, such as Paradise or Khorika, where you
can try traditional dishes.

2nd Day - Sunday 8th December, 2024

Morning: Have an early breakfast, check out, and depart for Cherrapunjee (approx. 5-6 hours,
148 km).
● Stop at Sacred Forest: On the way, stop at the Sacred Grove Forest in Mawphlang,
an ancient forest where Khasi tribes follow strict preservation practices.
Afternoon: Arrive in Cherrapunjee and check into your hotel.
● Elephant Falls: Begin your exploration with a stop at Elephant Falls, a three-tiered
waterfall surrounded by greenery, perfect for photography.
● Wei Shadong and Lyngksiar Falls: Visit Wei Shadong Falls and Lyngksiar Falls to
witness these off-the-beaten-path beauties, surrounded by forested hills and often less
crowded.
● Kynrem Falls: Continue to Kynrem Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in Meghalaya,
cascading from a height of 1,000 feet.
● Arwah Caves: Finish the day with a visit to Arwah Caves, a limestone cave with
impressive rock formations, fossils, and stalagmites.
Evening: Return to your hotel, relax, and enjoy the cool mountain air.
Dinner: Dine at your homestay.

3rd Day - Monday 9th December, 2024
----Early Morning: Start your day early, as today includes trekking. After breakfast, set off for
the Double Decker Living Root Bridge trek in Nongriat village.
● This is a challenging 3,500-step trek (approx. 3-4 hours round trip). The double-decker
root bridge, made from interwoven roots, is a marvel of natural architecture. You’ll also
encounter natural pools along the way.
Afternoon: Return to Cherrapunjee and unwind after the trek.
● Nohkalikai Falls: Visit Nohkalikai Falls, India’s tallest plunge waterfall, for spectacular
views of the cascading waters and lush valley below.
Evening: Relax at your hotel and recover from the day’s adventure.
Dinner: Enjoy a quiet dinner at your hotel or nearby restaurant.

4th Day - Tuesday 10th December, 2024
Morning: After breakfast, check out and begin your journey to Dawki, stopping at several iconic
sites on the way.
● Seven Sisters Falls: Start with a stop at Seven Sisters Falls, a series of seven
cascading waterfalls that look stunning in the monsoon season.
● Mawsmai Caves: Visit Mawsmai Caves, a popular limestone cave with impressive
formations and narrow passages.
● Mawkdok Dympep Valley Viewpoint: Enjoy the panoramic views of the verdant valley
at Mawkdok Dympep Viewpoint.
● Mawlynnong Village: Visit Mawlynnong Village, known as Asia’s cleanest village. Take
a walk around the village and, if time permits, see the Living Root Bridge nearby.
Afternoon:
● Umngot River: Arrive at Dawki and take a boat ride on the Umngot River. Known for its
crystal-clear water, the boat ride gives the illusion of floating on air.
● Shnongpdeng Suspension Bridge: Visit Shnongpdeng, where you can walk across
the suspension bridge for views of the river below.
Evening: Check into a riverside camp or guesthouse in Dawki.
Dinner: Enjoy a barbecue dinner or traditional Khasi meal at your camp.

Morning: After breakfast, head out for your day’s exploration.
● Indo-Bangladesh Border: Visit the India-Bangladesh border at Tamabil, where you can
see the international boundary marker.
● Krang Suri Waterfall: Travel to the stunning Krang Suri Waterfall and take a swim in
the blue pools at its base (if allowed). The trek down to the waterfall is short and scenic.
Afternoon: Continue to Shillong.
● Laitlum Grand Canyon: Stop at Laitlum Grand Canyon, known for its sweeping views
of the hills and valleys, offering breathtaking panoramas.
Evening: Arrive in Shillong, check into your hotel, and explore Police Bazaar if time permits.
Dinner: Dine at Café Shillong or Trattoria for local Khasi cuisine.

Morning: After breakfast, check out and start your drive to Kaziranga National Park, Assam
(approx. 6-7 hours, 250 km).
● Umiam Lake: Stop at Umiam Lake, a man-made reservoir, for photos and a quick stroll
around this serene spot.
● Don Bosco Museum: Visit the Don Bosco Museum in Shillong, an ethnographic
museum showcasing the rich culture and history of Northeast India.
Afternoon: Continue to Kaziranga and check into your lodge or resort.
Evening: Enjoy a relaxing evening at your lodge, surrounded by the lush wilderness of
Kaziranga.
Dinner: Enjoy a traditional Assamese dinner at your lodge.

7th Day - Friday 13th December, 2024

● Early Morning: Set out for a Jeep Safari in the Bagori Range of Kaziranga National
Park. Kaziranga is renowned for its one-horned rhinoceros, and you may also spot
elephants, wild water buffalo, deer, and if you’re fortunate, the elusive tiger.
● Breakfast: Return to the lodge for breakfast, check out, and then begin your journey
back to Guwahati (approx. 4-5 hours, 193 km).
● Afternoon: Arrive in Guwahati and check into your hotel.
● Evening:
○ Visit Kamakhya Temple, one of India’s most revered temples, dedicated to
Goddess Kamakhya. The temple is located atop Nilachal Hill and offers splendid
views of Guwahati.
○ Alternatively, you can take a sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra River.
● Dinner: Enjoy your last dinner in Guwahati at Paradise Restaurant or Northeast Thali
for more local flavors.
