Itinerary

Day 1  

Phuentsholing  

 

As soon as you arrive at Bagdodra airport, you will be transferred to Phuentsholing (173 kms; 4 hours), the Gateway of Bhutan for immigration.After the formalities are done, you will be transferred to the hotel for freshening up.Later on you can roam around the Bhutan Commercial Hub and Zangto Pelri Lhakhang (Monastery) .

Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.

 

Day 2

Phuentsholing - Thimphu

 

After breakfast, checkout from hotel and leave for Thimphu, the capital city(165 kms; 4.5hours) away. Upon reaching, check into hotel, freshen up and leave for local sightseeing to:

Takin Reservation Centre - is a place where one can see our Bhutan’s unique national animal “Takin” which are found only in forested/rocky, grass-covered alpine zones, at altitudes between 1,000 and 4,500 m above sea level

Folk Heritage Museum-  A museum that reflects fascinating testimony of the Bhutanese material culture and living traditions.

After this you can go to the local market for shopping.

Day 3 - Thimphu Sightseeing

After breakfast, leave to explore the remaining city. Today you can visit:

Kuensel Phodrang Park (Short Hike) - Kuensel Phodrang Nature Park is a popular spot among locals. One can get a great view of Thimphu city on one side, and the statue of Buddha on the other.

View point of Tashichoe Dzong - the beautiful fortress

Buddha Dordenma Statue - is massive statue of Shakyamuni measures in at a height of 51.5 meters, making it one of the largest statues of Sitting Buddha in the world. After covering these places, you are free for leisure.

Day 4 – Thimphu – Punakha

 

After morning breakfast, we will checkout from the hotel and move towards Punakha ( 86 kms; 2 hours ). On the way visit Dochula pass, built in the memory of 108 Bhutanese soldiers who died in a military operation. Upon reaching Punakha, check-in the hotel, have lunch and leave for Chimmi Lhakhang and Punakha Dzong to witness the beauty of the fertile place divided by two rivers call Phochhu and Mochhu.

Day 5  Punakha – Paro

 

After breakfast, checkout from hotel and leave for Paro valley (130 kms; 3.5 hrs), one of the most wildest and greenest valleys of Bhutan . On the way you can visit Lampari Park, and Tachog Lhakhang (Iron Bridge and the longest suspension bridge of Bhutan).Upon reaching Paro, you will be transferred to the hotel for freshening up and lunch. In a while, you can leave for sightseeing to:

 

Paro Rinpung Dzong - Paro Dzong ranks as a high point of Bhutanese architecture. The massive buttressed walls that tower over the town are visible throughout the valley.

Ta Dzong (National Museum) - The National Museum captures the heritage of Bhutan, and promotes it through the well preserved artefacts displayed from across the country.

Kyichu Lhakhang – oldest monastery in Bhutan

Later on you can visit Paro Town in the dinner for some traditional Bhutanese delicacies.

Day 6–  Tiger’s Nest ( Hike )

 

After breakfast, we will take you for a morning hike up to Taktsang Monastery, also known as ‘Tiger’s Nest’. Hanging precariously and magically at a height of 900m form a rather steep cliffs, the Taktshang monastery is a monument of genuine pride for the Bhutanese nation.Its defiles architectural principles to the core and amazes tourists from around the world being one of the most important monument of spirituals significances in Bhutan.

Day 7 Paro -( Chele La Pass )

 

After breakfast, we will leave for the highest road pass in the country located at a 13,000ft between valley of Paro and Haa - Chele La Pass. ( 37 kms; 1.5 hours)

Day 8 – Paro – Phuentsholing

 

After breakfast, leave for Phuentsholing.

Day 9 – Phuentsholing – Bagdodra

 

After breakfast, checkout from hotel and leave for Bagdodra airport; and happily bid adieu to The Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan.
